It's me again.

It's been a while... and it's been wild. On August 8th of this summer BF and I were hiking at Desoto falls in Cloudland Canyon. (Which is a park that spans Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee) At Desoto, BF and I always walk across the dam to this little known trail leading to the lagoon, 3 waterfalls below. There you can swim under the largest of the waterfalls - the water warm.

I was snapping photos of the waterfalls, canyon rocks, and the rest of the scenery. As I stopped to put up my camera, I tripped on a tree root. Then I fell - about 55 feet (6 stories) down a rocky embankment. I remember bouncing off boulders and hearing the screams of onlookers from the other side of the canyon. With my red tank top being ripped from my very body, blood quickly covered my back until I was soon wearing all red.

Out of the scarce trees along the bottom of the final "drop" (which was over a 100 feet) I luckily landed in a pine tree, which saved my life.

Since the accident I have been to about 50,000 different doctors, specialists, surgeons, physical therapists, chiropractors, and drug givers.

Since the accident, I have learned to walk with the help of a back brace and a 4-legged cane. I have had to re-learn how to use my muscles. I have had to get naked in front of every Ph.D in this city. I have endured every poke, test, MRI, catskan, and "movement meter" you can imagine.

Since the accident, I have learned who my friends are. B0 is no longer a friend, as he is now officially off of probation and seems to have picked up a nasty crack-smoking habit. My mother paid his roommate, Kimmie to clean my apartment for me. Kimmie ended up cleaning out my medicine cabinet and my closet.

It's true - friends are usually fair-weather.

Since the accident, I have been continually harrassed at work (on which a lawsuit is pending) because I can no longer lift stupid papers (or anything for that matter), wear high heels, or prance around for the dirty old men there...

Since the accident, I have been born over.

As I fell, I thought that I was going to die.
